Hakuba’s Autumn Leaves

Leaves turn their color to blazing red, orange, and yellow when the summer ends and warmly illuminate the whole village waiting for winter to come. When the first snow of the season falls, you can see three layers of color on mountains-white color of snow on top, red color of autumn leaves half way up, and green color of coniferous forest spread out around the foot―like a millefeuille. Magnificent autumn foliage and scent of vegetation soothes the soul of people.
